Paul David Mena was born in New York and now lives in Cochituate, Massachusetts, where he works as a computer professional in the financial industry. He has been writing haiku since 1992, and is presently a member of the Haiku Society of America, the Boston Haiku Society and several on-line haiku communities. He has published three chapbooks and has contributed to numerous haiku journals, both on-line and traditional. Among his ongoing projects is an effort to combine his haiku with his wife Mary's black-and-white photography and making it available on the World Wide Web.

Mary Melodee Mena lives in Cochituate, Massachusetts with her husband, Paul, an ever-changing combination of step children and a cantankerous Australian Cattle Dog/Pit Bull mix named Bonita.

She grew up in the wilderness of Michigan's Upper Peninsula and became interested in photography while attending Michigan State University. While in college she saved loose change in a large jar until she could afford her first used Pentax camera. In 1988 Mary founded New Boston Promotions, a promotional products agency and considers photography a creative pastime that helps keep her sane.

Her photos have been published in Bark Magazine, The Boston Globe, The Boston Blues Society "Blues News" magazine, and several on-line journals. A long term goal is to continue to combine her photos with her husband Paul's haiku and someday publish a book together.
