morning's stiffness
greets the old cat

intently focused
on my sit-ups |

kinkajou eyeshine
blinks and vanishes
leaving me in the dark |

quiet dignity
above all else
a giraffe browsing |

aerodynamics.
the car's smooth lines
sweep the moth to safety |
