Sara Otto is a first-year student at Frostburg State University in Frostburg, Maryland. She is an Art & Design major working toward a teaching degree in art. Recent illustrated works include Welcome Home: A History of the Vietnam War. She is also the recipient of three scholarships for artistic achievement at Frostburg State University: the Academic Excellence Award, the Karen Lucas Scholarship, and the Jenny Apsey Stegmaier Scholarship.

Mark Smith is currently a Program Coordinator for a non-profit health advocacy organization. His haiku have appeared in Modern Haiku and The Heron's Nest. His poems have appeared in Kestrel, Liberty Hill Poetry Review, Confluence, Wild Sweet Notes II: More West Virginia Poetry, and other journals. He resides in Keyser, West Virginia.
