HAIKU
Linda Chambers
hollow log
an old fox shares herself
with the crows

dry leaves---
blue heron nests dot
the cloudless sky
| |
orange sunrise---
tree shadows
claw the earth
white crosses---
last year's apples
bob in the wind
yellow daffodils---
the sight of a gopher
laughing at death

Linda Chambers lives in Northern Michigan with her
husband, Jack. She has resided in Michigan for most of her life. She
has loved reading Haiku for quite sometime. In March, she lost a young
cousin to a hit and run accident. His funeral and events surrounding
his death gave her the moments she needed to begin writing, and the
writing, in turn, helped her to heal.
