my whole weight |

lost in thought…
in the empty sky
kites cross |

city café
the caged bird chirps
beside the forest painting |

long winter…
the kitten stops playing
with a shuttlecock |

Keiko Izawa resides in Yokohama, Japan. She has been writing haiku for
about a year while at the same time enjoying reading the work of other
haiku poets across the world.
