HAIKU

Michael Baribeau

 
tapping-
a moth inside
the lampshade		  
 
the koi
come begging
to my shadow
   
wind storm-
berry stains
on the path		  
 

the cat's paw
sweeps beneath
the bathroom door
 
stepping over
the fleeing ant
I stumble		  
   

Michael Baribeau lives in a little rural town in Michigan USA with his son Lee, two cats, and two dogs. He is a bench jeweler (jewelry repair) and wedding videographer, and commutes to the big city, Grand Rapids, for work.

He discovered haiku and renga a few years ago and contributes occasionally online at the World Haiku Club lists, World Tempos Journal, and Photo-Haiku.
