Juanito Escareal regularly submits haiku to Fuyoh/Rose Mallow, a quarterly
haiku magazine published in Japan. He has a haiku published in the edge
of light: The Red Moon Anthology of English-Language Haiku 2003, the World Haiku
Association, World Haiku Review, Heron's Nest, and other e-zines.
He was
a member of the Pointed Radishes team that won the first Global Haiku Tournament
in 2002 sponsored by the World Haiku Club. He has placed in the World Haiku
Festival Anthology competition (WHF2000) and the WHC-Charnwood Arts haikuWORKS
kukai; and won awards in the 1999 Annual People's International Haiku and
Senryu Contest, and the 1998 Ito-en New Haiku Contest.
