Madan G. Gandhi: Haiku
In 1961, he won the Tagore Award in Poetry. He is the Founder and President of the Poetry Society of India, and he is the author of eleven volumes of poetry, including Haikus and Quatrains, Enchanting Flute, and The Imperiled Earth, the latter of which makes a plea against environmental degradation. Dr. Gandhi is also a painter and designer, and his work has been exhibited in galleries in Cambridge, England, and in Delhi, India. At present Dr. Gandhi is the editor of Earth Vision, a quarterly Journal of Gandhi Earth Vision Foundation. He is also the editor of South Asia News Letter, and of the Collected Works of Lala Lajpat Rai--a Government of India funded research project under Servants of the People Society, founded by Lala Lajpat Rai. |
