Dina E. Cox: Haiku

in its absence  
I dream  
a new moon from which bulrush
  this cry
  of a redwing?
a crow  
disappears into darkness  
and itself standing
  in earth's shadow
  November moon
weeds . . .  
sometimes I don't know  
when to stop  

Dina E. Cox is a writer and a musician, mother and grandmother, living in Ontario, Canada.

Her poetry has been published in anthologies and literary journals in Canada and the United States.

She also writes personal essays for newspaper publication.

She was winner of the Betty Drevniok Award 2000 administered by Haiku Canada.
