A "mosha"
(copy) after an ink and colour drawing
by Takebe Socho (1761-1814) from the month of December
of his "Screens of the Twelve Months"
in the Masuda Shozaburo Collection, Tokyo
The calligraphy
on the drawing says "mosha".
The original drawing is accompanied by a haiku which goes:
koyuki seyo
kasa kite mawan kami no mae
Let the light
snow fall
I'll dance with my sedge hat
in front of the god
